Project Preparation

Failure to fully abide by the following guidelines will result in a delay and/or extra charges for your project.

Bible verse format We believe that the King James Bible is the preserved and inspired Word of God for English speaking people. We will not publish any material that condones any other English version, or any “correcting” of the King James Bible.

Because CP takes a strong stand on the King James Bible (KJB), as we know you do also, we require all projects we print to have their verses appear exactly like they appear in the KJB.

Please use exact punctuation

Example:
Correct: “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,” (Acts 4:8)

Incorrect: “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel” (Acts 4:8).

Notice the correct format has the comma in the quotation since it’s part of the verse, not outside the quotation marks

Please use exact spelling

Example:
Correct: “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”

Incorrect: “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.”

Notice the correct format lacks the uppercase “H” in “he,” “his,” and “him” because that’s how it’s found in the Scriptures

Please use proper italics

Example:
Correct: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

Incorrect: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

Notice the correct use of formatting the verse without making it all in italics, but with the words “it” and “there is” in italics as they appear in Scripture.

When using partial verses, please use the ellipsis (…)

Example:
Correct: “For God so loved the world…”

Incorrect: “For God so loved the world,”

When commenting in a verse please use brackets [ ], not parentheses ( )

Example:
Correct: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet [this is referenced in Daniel 8:13], stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”

Incorrect: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet (this is referenced in Daniel 8:13), stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”

Notice the correct format has the brackets [ ] containing the author comments while the parenthesis ( ) are part of the actual Scripture

Again, this is to ensure we honour the Holy Word of God by maintaining faithfulness to the text. With this in mind, we kindly ask that you review your manuscript and update the verses accordingly before submitting it to CP. Please contact us if you have any questions.
